Cast Iron has always been my favorite type of cookware. My grandmother gave me my very first cast iron skillet and I have been seasoning it and preserving it every since. I use it for a lot of my cooking needs such as frying, deep frying, searing, and baking in the oven. Cast iron cookware items is so durable. It retains and distributes heat evenly I love that. Its sears like crazy and then you can place it right in the oven to finish it off.
