STEAMED CLAMS IN GARLIC BUTTER WINE SAUCE

So good and so yummy!. These steamed clams are absolutely delicious. These small clams are cooked in a garlic, butter, white wine sauce and you can pair it with your favorite side dish, garlic or sourdough bread. I love to eat mines with angel hair pasta. YUM!!!😋


Yields: 5 Servings Prep: 15 Mins CookTime: 30 Mins


Ingredients:

1 stick of butter (Unsalted divided)

3 lbs Fresh Clams (Sealed Closed)

1/4 cup garlic (minced)

1 tbsp red pepper flakes

1/3 cup fresh parsely (finely chopped)

1 1/2 cup white wine (dry)

1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

salt to taste

A few fresh lemon slices


Instructions:

  1. In a large saute high sided pan over medium heat, melt 3 tablespoons of butter. Add the garlic and cook for about 3 -5 minutes or until garlic is softened, stirring occasionally.

  2. In another medium pot add in your sealed clams and water, bring to a boil for about 10 minutes or until all clams have opened up.

  3. Once clams are open remove from pot and add to your garlic butter sauce.

  4. Add in your white wine, lemon juice, red pepper flakes and remaining butter. Lower your heat and simmer for 5 minutes stirring occassionally.

  5. When done garnish with your fresh parsley, lemon slices, and serve immediately.
